📄Domain name resolution protocol

🚧Industry Issues in Domain Name Resolution Process:

  • The process of cross-chain, cross-ecosystem domain name docking is complex

    • There are both single-chain domains and multi-chain domains.

    • Multi-chain and cross-chain display different domain name spaces, user information, and DAPP permissions.

    • Each domain name issuer has its own docking rules and technical specifications.

  • Each ecology's domain name issuer is fighting on its own, lacking industry standards

    • Allocation of resources in the domain name arena is not standardized.

    • Lack of organization and coordination in the construction of industry ecology.

🎯Goal

Build a domain name allocation and resolution framework that promotes fairness and openness in Web3.0, by providing open access to necessary domain name management tools to facilitate the issuance and management of Web3.0 domain names.

  • Market-oriented top domain name allocation rules for Web3.0

    • Allocate the issuance and management rights of different domain names during different time periods using periodic auctions .

  • Unify and simplify domain name service integration processes

    • Define a unified domain name technical integration specification, support multi-suffix domain name integration using a unified SDK, and provide domain name resolution, renewal, transfer, bidding, and whois query services .

  • Manage domain-related matters in a community-based manner

    • Manage domain name-related matters in a community-based manner In the initial stage, we will use a identity verification system to build an early community and foundation members of the entire protocol, which is planned to include global major exchanges, wallets, and public chain members to jointly establish governance rules.

    • The long-term open and operation of the protocol will be managed and operated by the foundation.

    • Revenues from domain registration, renewal, and certificate services are partially allocated to long-term supporters of the protocol to ensure its stable operation, in addition to covering operations and development.
